Bogle came through the non league route at Hinckley United and then Solihull Moors following his release from Celtic in 2011. On that day he was partnered by County icon Padraig Amond.
In his first season in the EFL he tore up league 2 scoring 19 goals in 27 games before earning himself a move to Championship outfit Wigan Athletic. In the summer of 2017 he made the move across the border to Cardiff City. He made 10 appearances in the first half of the season getting 3 goals as the bluebirds got promotion to the Premier League. In the 2nd half of that season he moved to league one outfit Peterborough scoring 1 in 9 games. He's also had loans to Birmingham City, Portsmouth and most notably ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands where he worked under Alan Pardue for a few months as the season over there got suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the summer of 2020 he got released from Cardiff and joined up with Charlton Athletic and later went on to Join Doncaster permanently in the January of that season. Between both clubs he played 34 times scoring the 4 goals. Last season he started off at Doncaster Rovers in league one scoring 1 in 10 for them before making the switch to Hartlepool in January. In the second half of last season he got 5 goals in 20 games as they comfortably survived the drop on their first season back in the EFL.
James Rowberry also added “I’m really pleased to welcome Omar to Newport
County AFC, with myself and Carl [Serrant, assistant manager] having worked with him previously,
we know what he can bring to the team. It’s another exciting signing for us and I would like to thank Gavin Foxall, Pete Madigan and Darren Kelly for the work they have put into this. I’m sure you’ll give Omar a really warm welcome.”
Welcome Omar!
